Arte Fotopostal

Exchange as artwork. The postcard as gesture.

Manifesto

We believe in the power of sending, in the trace of the hand, in the distance that connects. Each postcard is an image that travels and transforms when it reaches another person. Arte Fotopostal seeks to recover waiting, surprise and tangible exchange.

Derived from mail art, it upholds the same principles: the work has neither price nor market; its value lies in circulation, in the gesture of sharing and in the expansion of the image.

We define the photopostal as a photographic work reproduced in 10x15 format, with a written back including recipient and date of dispatch. It may be sent through postal services or delivered by other means, but it always preserves the spirit of sending and the desire for encounter.

We reclaim photography as an act of correspondence.

We propose:

To spread photography as a shared experience beyond the market.

To transform the circulation of images into an intimate and collective act of communication.

To connect people, spaces and authors through the physical exchange of images.
